  The latest X-Men film to hit theatres has become the fourth-biggest
  opening movie of all time on this day, according to studio estimates
  on Monday.

  Ever thought online gaming could become a real-life killer?  Me neither.  But
  officials in South Korea think differently..  According to studies, onling gaming has   caused so much stress that "10 South Koreans -- mostly teenagers and people in
  their twenties -- died in 2005 from game addiction-related causes, up from only
  two known deaths from 2001 to 2004, according to government officials."

  days filled with live entertainment, celebrities from all six movies, special film and
  video presentations, an exhibit of movie props and costumes, exclusive
  merchandise sold at a 24-hour-a-day store, pop culture tributes, immersive

  Well, as you can expect, more figure 3-packs will be available with the release
  of the OT DVDs.  I'm a Star Wars fan, yes- but doesn't this figure rehashing
  ever get old??

  ANH Screening At Borehamwood 50th Town Festival

  In June, to commemorate not only the 50th anniversary of the Borehamwood
  Annual Town Festival, but also in honor of the quickly-approaching 30th
  anniversary of the release of ANH, Episode IV will be shown as part of the
  festivities.  The reason is because Borehamwood was the homeland of Elstree
  Studios, where the magic of the Star Wars film saga began.

  Other films to be shown during this event include a cheezy B-flic, "Night Of The
  Demon", which I remember from my youthful days of watching creature double
  features on Channel 29. This film was also created at Elstree.

  Currently, David Prowse is also supposed to be present for this screening of
  Star Wars- However this is yet to be confirmed.  More on the event here.

  Birthday wishes go out to that crazy warrior female, Grace Jones.  "Grace"
  was always an understatement with this woman, as she always reminded me
  of the human form of the Tazmanian SHE Devil..

  You can see her in action in Conan The Destroyer (1984), and a personal favorite,
  James Bond's A View To A Kill (1985).  She's 54 today-  Happy Birthday, Grace!

  Recently, pics of the forthcoming Original Trilogy DVD covers have appeared on
  the Web-  Only thing is, they're not getting the greatest of feedback..

  According to this article, some fans are pretty disappointed with the appearance.
  Me?  It's just a cover-  BUT, I've always hated the pic of Han Solo with the
  catholic school haircut (shown on Ep IV cover- click on image above for a better
  view)-  I don't know where that pic ever came from, but it looks like it was taken
  while Harrison Ford was on the set of Witness or something.

  Happy Birthday To The GAME OVER Man

  The gang here at B4DT want to wish a Happy Birthday to the man who
  helped make Aliens the scfi favorite that it is, Bill Paxton.

  The guy's portrayal of Private Hudson made this movie one that was highly
  recognized by shows like Saturday Night Live, and is still in my top 10 list of
  favorite movies today.

  And don't forget his other great roles in The Terminator, Twister, Weird
  Science, the list goes on..  Happy Birthday Bill!  Game over man!

  Before B4: A Trip Into The Past

  Years ago, when I was just getting my feet wet in the world of Star Wars
  reporting, I created a small site known as FETT's Forum, whose function was
  the same as most Star Wars and scifi sites out on the web today: to bring
  related news to the scifi community.  Shortly after, I was hired by another SW
  site, artoosnews.com, to continue reporting on related SW news and events,
  and FETT's Forum was eventually decommissioned.

  I decided, upon locating some old files tonight, to load the site's old news
  content into the archives of B4DT.  Some of the info really brings back some
  memories-  I invite you to read and enjoy.

  Star Wars TV: "Think Bounty Hunter"

  According to details from a recent interview with Rick McCallum at the Saturn
  Awards in Universal City, the scripts for the forthcoming TV show are in their
  infancy stages, but one thing was mentioned: "Think Bounty Hunter-  That's all
  I can tell you. There's nobody else that you'll know in it."

  Personally, I think that's a bunch of fluff, as I can't imagine them doing over 100
  episodes of SW details that don't include the Skywalkers-  But, we'll just have to
  wait for further updates.  As for me, I think Bounty Hunter all the time, at least
  since 1980    8^]
