We already know that one big question is whether or not Replicants have
real memories, or if they're implants-

But a new question has been raised: do they drink?  According to this article,
Sean Young has checked herself in to an alcohol clinic.

I'll tell you what: replicants that are SOBER give me the heebie jeebies-
I wouldn't want to be in a 10-block radius of one during last call..

Why Everything Will Be In 3D

It's been rumored for the past few years that the cinema is going to see a
HUGE rebirth of 3D films starting in 2008 and 2009, including classics like
the Toy Story films, and yes.......  Star Wars.

You're most likely already starting to see it take place, with the debut of U23D,
and one of the theatre's latest, Beowulf, being offered in 3D as well.

This article helps put it together as to why..  Check it out- just make sure

Birthday Wishes To A True Jedi

Jim Brady Jr., father of BTDT creator "FETT", turns 65 today.  It is because of
him and his decision to make a trip to the theatre at Delaware's Tri-State mall
in 1977, that Star Wars became a foundation in the Brady family, and also
prompted the website you are reading right now.

Jim Brady Jr. has always been a fan of scifi films, and introduced his son to
many of the great scifi classics, including The THING with James Arness, Earth
  VS. The Flying Saucers
, and of course, The War of the Worlds.  He was also
sure to pass on his interest in Ray Harryhausen's works, including the infamous

Sinbad films.

We wish him a great day today, and many more to come!

Toy Shop: The End Of An Era

It is with great regret that beforethedarktimes.com has to announce the end
of another significant era in collecting news and updates: Toy Shop is closing its
doors with its final issue being for March 2008.

The staff of beforethedarktimes.com have been following this great magazine
for well over a decade, and are sad to see them shutting down the generator.

We hope to continue our relationship with FW Publications, but wanted to
say thanks to Tom and the crew for the great news and updates all these
  years.  You will be missed...

  Star Wars: Episode SEVEN?

Well, it's been said by Lucas time and time again, that his story has now been
told in full- and that there is no third trilogy (eps 7,8,9...)

That being said, why then does Target have a different agenda?  Check out
this search result at their site..  And we didn't just do a random search to find
it: it came up as one of our random Ads By Google!

Add this to the list of "Things That Make You Go HMMMMMM".

The Voice Of Vader Turns 77

James Earl Jones, the man who helped make Darth Vader one of the most
feared characters in scifi history, turns 77 today.

The man is the epitomy of accomplishment and leadership- he went from being
a small boy with a speech impediment, to a great influential actor with one of
the most well-known voices in acting and media history.  My favorite line of
all time from him comes from ESB: "Cal-rissian...... take the Princess and the
  Wookiee to my ship.........."

  Hats off to you, James!
