New Contest At BTDT
Are you a sci-fi fan beyond the realm of Star Wars
as well? Do you like to draw in
your spare time? No, this isn't an infomercial...
We here at BTDT are launching a
new contest to see how many creative readers we have out there!
The requirements for this contest are very simple: to be eligible
for the contest,
we are asking our reader community to draw a picture of their
favorite Star Wars
character. The drawing can depict the character
as they are known in the SW
saga, in a Holiday setting, or anything that you prefer. The
selected character
can be from any part of the Star Wars realm (ie Comics, Expanded
Universe,
Shadows Of The Empire, etc)- All we ask is that you indicate
in your submission
the name of the character, and from where it is derived. All
entries via email
must
be received by 12/23, and all "snail-mailed" entries
must be postmarked by 12/18
to be eligible. A first prize winner and runner-up winner
will be selected on
Christmas Day, Saturday, December 25th. Prizes are
as follows:
Grand Prize: The lucky first prize winner will win
a pair
of 12" figures from the
original Outer Limits series, compliments of our sponsors
at Sideshow
Collectibles!
These two Outer Limits figures are packed in one box as a
set. Each figure
features an episode-themed costume from the classic series,
and is packed with
an 'Outer Limits' display stand. "Andro" includes
flower, pistol and book
accessories. Total retail value of $90!
Runner-Up: The runner-up prize will win 10 Type 1 Real
Action Stands from our
sponsors of the same name! These stands are for Star Wars
figures '95 and up,
and are great for setting up those battle scenes and custom
dioramas that we all
love!
Remember, you have until 12/23 to email
us your entry, or by 12/18 to have your
picture post-marked via regular mail. Any depictions including
profanity or nudity
will not be accepted. Keep it clean people! At the completion
of the contest, all
entries will be displayed on their own section in our BTDT
Features section. And if
you know someone who is an Outer Limits fan or general sci-fi
wacko like the gang
here at BTDT, please pass news of this contest along-
And now
stop reading,
and start drawing!!

Star
Wars Insider Now An Outsider?
In
recent conversations in our Forums,
many have been discussing the lack of
"hype" that
has accompanied the release of Episode III. With Episodes
I and II,
there was a lot happening on the internet as well as in
the media, with the Select
images, and all kinds of details being highlighted in the
Star Wars Insider magazine.
But with the advent of Hyperspace on the official
site, many feel that the
highlights that were once carried in the Star Wars Insider
(and other sources)
to get you excited about the upcoming film are now a bit
thin.
So we extend that question to you, our reader community-
Do you feel that there
have been less highlights on Episode III to get your Star
Wars gears turning again?
Do you think that those details should be exclusive only
to Hyperspace members?
Share your thoughts in our Forums!
