Power Of The Dark Crystal Updates
The
sequel to one of the best scifi films ever created is currently
underway,
with release scheduled for 2009. A great
update is in regard to 2 cast members,
one of which is currently being negotiated at this time. The
cast currently
includes Kevin
Clash, who has done a great deal of work with many Henson-
related works. And the newcomer currently
being considered is a man by the
name of Bill
Berretta who also carries some Muppet skills. Something
cool
about Kevin Clash's resume is that it includes work
on a previous project that
goes a little ways back: a little something known as
the Great Space Coaster
in 1981.. now there's some nostalgia!

BTDT Flashback: Recorded Live
Back
in the day when HBO was still wearing diapers, they would broadcast
what they referred to as "Short Takes", allowing
up and coming film directors to
flaunt their stuff- one of the most memorable was this
one, known as Recorded
Live: a short film where a man was actually eaten
alive by a reel of film. The
introductory commentary even reminds me of the tape
recording you hear in the
first of the Evil Dead series.. This little tidbit
actually scarred me mentally for
years- but yet here I sit, watching it once again...

L. Jackson is looking for a cameo opp in the latest Indiana Jones

update at Yahoo News. Jackson commented "All
I want to
do is run across screen, I don't have to say anything.
I just wanna run through
the movie, get my name in the credits, so I can stay
in front of Harrison."

from FETT: Personally
I think this is a load, and I hope his request is
denied.. The last time he wanted a "cameo"
in a Lucas film, we ended up with
a new Jedi Knight toting a PURPLE light saber, and his
"cameo" role becoming
a huge part as one of the Jedi Council. His
acting wasn't bad in the films, but
it really didn't enhance them any either.. I
for one could do without him in the
next IJ film. Sorry Sammy- this fan votes
"nay".

SW Battlefront: Renegade Squadron Update
We received the following great update from LucasArts regarding this new game:
Built
from the ground up for the PSP (and included in the Star Wars
Battlefront PSP Entertainment Pack this October 9), Star Wars
Battlefront: Renegade Squadron is set to be one of the biggest
handheld games of the year -- and the developers at Rebellion
Studios and LucasArts have a lot to tell you regarding it. About
